Thanks for your response.
The importance of Managing Emotions Vs. Controlling Emotions.
Author suggested answer:
Most normally functioning individuals can control their emotions in most situations, but that does not mean they can manage their emotions in the most effective ways possible. Effectively managing emotions requires a high degree of emotional intelligence. Effectively managing emotions means that one is able to manipulate oneself and the environment to get the desired results. (See page 7 of book for a complete answer & example)
Hello Everyone. I find myself managing my emotions on a daily basis in the world of public education. Whether I’m dealing with teachers, students, parents or community members, in the moment, I lean heavily on the fact that I need to manage my emotions to avoid making decisions that are not in the best interest of the situation. Subconsciously, I may be controlling my emotions (if that is even possible) to manipulate the situation to gain a favorable outcome. For me, it’s almost human nature to seek to manage my emotions simply because of what’s been instilled in me for so long. There’s definitely upside to both and if one can effectively commingle both, they are really winning.
A great response!

Hello Everyone,
In response to suggested question #2, The importance of having STRONG Relationships with Self, Others, and God. I selected this question because of my personal life’s experiences and the lessons that I have learned. A short response would not adequately communicate this importance. Therefore, I am posting a YouTube Video from Dr. Daniel J. Siegel that explains this in a workshop that he delivered to a very diverse group of individuals. I think you will find it to be very entertaining and informative as he explains Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) and the importance of relationships. The video is rather long, please watch it at your convenience. You can copy the link and watch it later. As you view the video, please make notes of any questions that you would like me to discuss in future Blog posts.

Please check out the video that I just post to my Blog. You can watch Dr. Siegel present a workshop to school Administrators, Teachers, and Students. There is a question/answer session at the end of the workshop that will likely give you additional insights for how to build strong relationships.
This is the perfect webpage for everyone who wishes to understand this topic. You realize so much its almost hard to argue with you (not that I personally would want toÖHaHa). You definitely put a brand new spin on a subject that has been written about for a long time. Great stuff, just great!
